Any unused and non-expired tokens will carry over as long as you keep an active subscription.
Similar to how rollover minutes and data work on a mobile plan, you'll need to stay subscribed for tokens to rollover - but they don't last forever - which is why it's important to make sure you're on the right plan for the amount of tokens you're using to connect with homeowners.
How do tokens expire?
Tokens can expire for 2 reasons:
1. When you don't use your token allocations soon enough
- Monthly token allocations from a subscription have a 2-month 'lifetime', or 3 months if you're on the 'Advantage' plan or higher.
- Tokens from a Boost Pack or any free tokens (e.g. from promotional offers) expire after 1 month.
2. When your subscription ends
If you cancel your subscription renewal and let your plan run out, or if you have an overdue subscription invoice at the time of renewal, then any remaining tokens will automatically expire when your plan ends.
EXAMPLE: 3-month subscription + renewal switched ON
EXAMPLE: 3-month subscription + renewal is switched OFF (or you have an overdue subscription invoice)
Why do tokens expire?
- Tokens expire to encourage engagement with Builderscrack
- Both tradies and homeowners will have a better experience and a better outcome if we encourage active and ongoing use of the platform.
What if I use all my tokens for the month too quickly?
If you have used your tokens for the month, you can bring forward tokens from the next month. For more information on recharging your token balance, see this FAQ: What does 'Recharge' mean?
Tip: If you’re regularly using up your monthly allocation, it could be worth upgrading your plan to receive more tokens. See this FAQ on how to upgrade your plan: Managing your subscription.
