Posting a job on Builderscrack is easy! Simply click 'Homeowners' > ‘Post a job’ from the top menu of our website. Then, you just fill in the form to describe what you need.
Job details
We'll ask you a few questions so that we can match you with tradespeople.
- Trade category - If you need multiple, try to select the primary trade, or consider posting separate jobs. If you don't know, just leave it blank.
- Job location - Suburb is all we need. Wait until you've connected with a tradesperson before sharing your exact address.
- Job title - Give your job a descriptive name for easy reference, e.g. "Repairing a small deck".

Job description - Include all relevant details upfront, for example:
- What material is it made of?
- What is the approximate area or dimensions?
- What's your ideal outcome, and what can you be flexible on?
- Are you keen to get this done, or are you only wanting a quote to explore options?
- Add photos - A picture says a thousand words. In some cases, tradespeople may be able to quote your job using just the photos.
- Size of your project (Small, Medium, Large)
- Timeframe - is it urgent or flexible?
- Cost or Quality - which is your primary focus for this work?
- Job frequency - is this a one-off task or will there be more of this work for the right tradie?
