The short answer is: yes, tokens expire. Read on for the detailed answer...
Tokens at a glance
- Each month, you'll receive a new allocation of tokens
- The number of tokens allocated each month depends on the plan you are currently subscribed to
- Unused tokens will expire throughout your plan
- Tokens with the soonest expiry date will be deducted first when you connect with a client
- By varying token lifetime, tradies are encouraged to remain active, improving the service experience for both clients and tradies
- If you purchase a token pack, the tokens are allocated immediately and expire after 1 month.
If you are currently subscribed to a plan (automatic renewal is on):
- Unused and unexpired tokens roll over when your plan is successfully renewed.
- Below is an example of a plan with a 3-month term and automatic renewal on:
If you have cancelled your plan (automatic renewal is off), or you have an overdue plan invoice:
- Your plan will not renew
- Unused and unexpired tokens (including any free or token pack tokens) will expire
- All plan benefits will end.
Why do tokens expire?
- Tokens expire to encourage engagement with Builderscrack
- Both tradies and homeowners will have a better experience and a better outcome if we encourage ongoing use of the platform.
How are my token allocations used?
- When you successfully connect with a client, tokens with the soonest expiry are deducted
- You may connect by 'chasing' a lead invite and the client accepting your request, or by accepting a client's direct enquiry to you.
Can I carry over unused tokens to the next plan?
- Unused and unexpired tokens roll over when your plan is successfully renewed.
What if I use all my tokens for the month?
If you have used your tokens for the month, you can bring forward tokens from the next month. For more information on recharging your token balance, see this FAQ: What does 'Recharge' mean?
