Introducing: Profiles
We’re excited to announce the launch of Profiles by Builderscrack. It’s a powerful new way to market your business, get noticed and let the jobs come to you.
There’s heaps of new features that we’ll unpack for you below, but before we get into it, here’s a quick summary of the most important things.
What is Profiles?
- It’s a public and professional business listing — but it’s been built specifically for trade businesses
- It’s packed with the features you need to win over clients like: your business details, BC reviews, credentials like insurance and memberships, project galleries, listing in a directory + heaps more
- There’s two plans: a free Basic Profile, and a Premium Profile. As a member of the Builderscrack network, you've automatically received a free Basic Profile
- Think of it as a dedicated home for marketing your business online, where the best of social profiles, reputation sites and websites roll into one to create an easy place for you and your clients to connect.
How is it different from Leads?
- You know us as a ‘no work, no fee’ leads marketplace — chase jobs, win work, get reviewed — this remains the same for Leads
- But, we’ve heard a lot of you are looking for something more sophisticated, so we’ve taken that on board and have responded with Profiles
- To compare the two products: Leads are a powerful way to fill your work pipeline, and Profiles are a powerful way to publicise that work to win future clients
- We designed Profiles so that they can be used independently from Leads, which is part of our work to understand and cater to different trade business needs in NZ
- When combined, you can amplify your business by utilising two methods of getting work:
- Quality / one-to-one (Leads), and
- Quantity / one-to-many (Profiles).
What does that mean for your existing Builderscrack account?
- You have automatically received a free Basic Profile (we’ll go through what that means in the next section).
- You will see the new look and feel when editing under My Home -> Account -> Profile
- Your Profile has been populated with the information you've already made public, like your business description, trades and locations.
- Your Profile is listed in our public Directory where homeowners can find by trade and location. This means your Profile can now be viewed by clients outside of Builderscrack.
- If you’re currently on Pro for Leads, you have been upgraded to a Pro Legacy plan — read the Pro Announcement.

The big differences between Basic and Premium
When you upgrade to Premium you’ll enjoy all of the Basic Profile features plus the supercharged features below:
- Showcase carousel (10 images at the top of your Profile)
- Contact details (Contact name, address, phone number, website, URL, social links)
- Amount of projects (50 projects, with 20 images per project)
- Review history (Show unlimited reviews)
- Directory listing (Preferred position in BC Directory)
- Direct enquiry (NEW) (Homeowners can contact you directly from your profile)
